Silver American Eagle Proof 70 Coins
The Pride of the U.S. Mint
History of the Silver American Eagle
First released by the U.S. Mint on November 24, 1986, the Silver American Eagle has become the world's most popular silver bullion coin. Each coin is struck from one troy ounce of .999 fine silver and has been produced at three locations over the years: Philadelphia, San Francisco, and West Point Mints.
The obverse is inspired by Adolph A. Weinman's 1916 "Walking Liberty" half dollar, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful U.S. coin designs ever created. Lady Liberty strides forward gracefully, draped in the American flag, symbolizing strength and freedom.

New Design for the Silver American Eagle Proof Coin
In 2021, the Silver American Eagle Proof Coin received its most significant update in 35 years, combining a refreshed reverse design with enhanced obverse details for a new era of artistry and security.
Created by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso, the new reverse features a majestic eagle in flight, wings outstretched as it descends carrying an oak branch in its talons. The imagery symbolizes strength, care, and resilience.

A Legacy of American Refinement
Silver American Eagle Proof coins have been produced at three prestigious U.S. Mint facilities

San Francisco Mint Series (1986-1992)
First established in 1854 to serve the California Gold Rush, the San Francisco Mint struck more than $4 million in gold coins in its inaugural year alone. All proof coins produced here bear the "S" mint mark.

Philadelphia Mint Series (1993-2000)
As the original U.S. Mint facility, the Philadelphia Mint carries the weight of American numismatic history. Proof coins from this mint bear the "P" mint mark.

West Point Mint Series (2001-Present)
Known as "The Fort Knox of Silver," the West Point Mint has produced all Silver Eagle Proof coins since 2001. These coins bear the prestigious "W" mint mark.
The Legendary 1995-W Silver Eagle
The 1995-W Silver American Eagle Proof is one of the most coveted coins in the series. With only 30,125 coins minted, it has the lowest mintage of any Silver Eagle Proof, making it extremely rare in Proof 70 condition.
This legendary coin has seen significant price appreciation over the years, making it a prized possession for serious collectors and investors alike.
